The 10-time Grammy Award winner began her career in the band, Rufus, enjoying the success of six platinum-selling albums. CHAKA KHAN's first solo debut album, Chaka, went platinum after selling over a million copies. After briefly reuniting with Rufus, she released her second album, Naughty, which went gold. In 1982, CHAKA KHAN released her jazz album, Echoes of an Era, and her fourth solo album, Chaka Khan, featuring the Grammy Award-winning song, "Bebop Medley." "I Feel for You," the title track from CHAKA KHAN's sixth album, featured a harmonic solo by Stevie Wonder, becoming a number one hit on U.S. and U.K. pop charts and was named Billboard's #5 song for 1985. Released in 2007, Funk This, CHAKA KHAN's eleventh album, resulted in two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, for her duet with Mary J. Blige. Most recently in 2011, CHAKA KHAN and her former band, Rufus, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
