Alexandre Lora is an artist nominated for the 60th's Grammy Awards, in 2017 in the category "World's Best Music Album" with Anar Cohen and Trio Brasileiro: "Rosa dos Ventos".
As a solo Handpan player, Lora travels the world to perform and teach the Handpan at some of the most important events, such as Handpan and World Music Festivals in countries such as France, Israel, Australia, Hungary, Greece, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
Alexadre Lora got his bachelor's degree in drum set in 2002 from FAAM (Faculdade de Artes Alcântara Machado). He studied classical percussion at EMM (Escola Municipal de Música de São Paulo) for 3 years and in 2009 received a master's degree in musicology and music education from UAB (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona).
In 2010, he performed in 33 cities throughout Spain, where he participated in the "DiverSons" project (Banco La Caixa). In 2011, as a member of the XLJazz Orchestra, he performed in Amsterdam and Rotterdam alongside the great pianist Ramon Valle. Since 2012, Lora has been a member of the Choro Workshop Center (Port Townsend-USA) and has performed with her Trio Brasileiro in major US cities such as New York, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Denver, San Francisco and Portland.
Alexandre has collaborated with acclaimed musicians such as Anat Cohen, Jovino Santos Neto, Mestrinho, Ramón Valle, Martin'alia, Mariana Aydar and Brazil Guitar Duo.
In 2015 he released his first solo CD with all the original songs called "Oriente".
His second solo CD entitled "Hand Pan for Peace" was released in July / 2017.
"Getting to the Desert" its the third solo album released in 2020.
His latest CD "SOLSTICE" was released in 2022 and his compositions, among other songs, will be played in the program for Slovakia in the summer.
