Popis/Description:

Foster the People založil Mark Foster v roku 2009 v Los Angeles. Skupina zožala obrovský úspech v roku 2011 s ich debutovým albumom Torches, z ktorého sa predalo viac ako dva milióny kusov albumov a viac ako desať miliónov kusov singla "Pumped Up Kicks". Ten bol v tom roku vyhlásený aj za hymnu roku 2011 magazínom SPIN a bol nasledovaný ďalšími úspešnými singlami "Don't Stop (Color On The Walls)", "Houdini" a "Helena Beat". Foster the People získali tri nominácie na Grammy za ich monumentálny debut, v kategóriách Best Alternative Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance za “Pumped Up Kicks” a Best Short Form Music Video for “Houdini.”

Zatiaľ posledný album "Supermodel" vyšiel v marci 2014 a produkoval ho Paul Epworth známym zo spoluprác s umelcami ako Adele, Paul McCartney, U2, Bruno Mars, Cold Play a v neposlednom rade aj na ich debutovom albume "Torches". Album nahrávali na viacerých miestach po celom svete a nakoniec dosiahol na tretie miesto amerického albumového rebríčka. Singel "Coming of Age" a "Best Friend" dosiahli Top 10 v alternatívnych hitparádach.
