Nubiyan Twist is a protagonist of the current british afro-jazz with the leader Tom Excell who put together an incredible group of musicians, vocalists and producers. The ten-member band, including the four-member woodwind section is a brilliant mix of jazz, afrobeat, hip hop, soul and dance music.

For the past 5 years Nubiyan Twist has been a the forefront of the UK jazz scene alongside bands like Kokoroko, Moses Boyd and Sons of Kemet. They only confirmed their status with their second album Jungle Run and many fantastic performances around Europe. Nubiyan Twist also opened shows for stars such as De La Soul, Hot 8 Brass Band, Quantic and Robert Glasper.
