Viva Musica! festival - Opera Gala: Sonya Yoncheva & Stefan Pop

Description:
Staying with tradition, the final concert of the festival will be the Opera Gala on Bratislavský hrad. In the spirit of previous gala concerts, which saw festival appearances by stars like Mexican tenor RamŰn Vargas, Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky or Slovak tenor Pavol Breslik, this year the festival welcomes the winner of last year’s prestigious international singing competition of Pl·cido Domingo Operalia – the enchanting Bulgarian soprano Sonya Yoncheva and excellent Romanian tenor Stefan Pop. The concert programme consists mostly of a classical opera repertoire – well-known and lesser known operatic arias and duets will ring out with the accompaniment of Viva Musica! orchestra under the baton of Russian conductor Mikhail Tatarnikov.
