Il Divo, a multi-platinum singing group based on classical music, will perform on 28 September in Bratislava's Peugeot Arena on 28th of September with their newly released album XX, which will sum up twenty years of their work.
In 2004, four men with distinctly different personalities and voices came together to make music history and culture to write the name Il Divo into the history of music and culture. Their efforts were crowned with success when they achieved unprecedented recognition for their genre-spanning songs and the millions of fans who bought their multi-platinum recordings.
They had the opportunity to perform at the Summer Olympics, co-wrote the official song with Toni Braxton for the 2006 World Cup and performed at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations Elizabeth II. They are known for hits such as Regresa and Mí, a cover version of Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart, which features on their first album and has over 180 million views on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJNzmNB48no.
From their songs, interpreted in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, English, Japanese and Latin, have sold more than 30 million records worldwide in 35 countries and have reached 50 number one hits on the charts and 160 gold and platinum records.
This year Il Divo celebrates its 20th anniversary with the release of an anniversary album entitled XX, featuring American David Miller (tenor), Swiss Urs Bühler (tenor), Frenchman Sébastien Izambard (tenor) and American Steven LaBrie (baritone), who joined the group after the death of Carlos Marín Covido-19 due to an infection.On 28 September, they will perform in Bratislava at the Peugeot Arena.
